Cambridge International AS and A Level Psychology

This series is tailored to the Cambridge International AS and A Level Psychology (9990) syllabus for first examination in 2018.

Julia Russell is Head of Psychology at The Queen’s School, Chester and a senior lecturer at University where she leads modules on the MSc in the Teaching of Psychology. She has authored many psychology texts for students and teachers from GCSE to degree level and is a senior examiner for GCSE and A level.

Fiona Lintern is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Glyndwr University where she contributes to an online MSc in the Teaching of Psychology as well as to the undergraduate degree. She is a distance learning tutor with Academy Online Learning who provide Access to Higher Education courses and with Oxford Open Learning where she supports students who are studying both Psychology and Sociology. She has over twenty years teaching experience and currently holds a number of senior examining roles (with CIE and WJEC). She has published several A-level textbooks.

Lizzie Gauntlett is an experienced teacher of both A-level and GCSE Psychology. A former sixth form department co-ordinator, Lizzie has authored a number of popular A-level textbooks and resources. She has also examined for Cambridge International Examinations in A-level Psychology for several years. She is currently undertaking her doctoral research in Psychology and Education at Bournemouth University, looking at the experience of resilience in undergraduates and its impact on academic success. Her other research interests include social psychology, teaching and learning in further and higher education, mental health and qualitative research methodologies.

Jamie Davies has been teaching A Level Psychology for the last 12 years at Wyke Sixth Form College. For five years he was an A level examiner on both coursework and applied modules. Jamie has been invited to speak at a variety of lectures and seminars on teaching and learning for groups like the BPS, the Association for Teachers of Psychology and the HEA. He writes about teaching and learning for a variety of online blogs as well as PsychBlog where current research in psychology is digested. For the last two years Jamie has worked with Glyndwr University on their MSc in the Teaching of Psychology working with psychology teachers from across the world. He also likes to go walking with his Labrador.
