The strength of the Dictionary is its flexibility of use – either for whole class teaching on the interactive whiteboard or for individual reference on computers. A Maths Dictionary for Kids CD-ROM is a useful resource.

Each entry contains a clear definition plus interactive activities to help you teach the mathematical vocabulary included in the renewed Primary Framework.
The Dictionary provides a clear focus for the whole class when introducing lesson objectives, as an oral and mental starter activity, and as a reminder of concepts already covered.
Use the Dictionary as a research tool for follow-up activities or as a practice tool where further support is needed.
Use in the review sessions to summarise key concepts and definitions and to assess children’s learning.
Dictionary pages can be imported into the Mult-e-Maths activities using the Lesson Builder within the New Framework Edition Teaching CD-ROMs.
