I am enormously impressed. The range of images is absorbingly extensive, users can reach high levels of interaction with minimum technical hurdling and the integrity of the text is at the core of the whole package.

Head of English, All Saints Catholic School, Dagenham

Particularly useful when working with pupils on aspects of the play in performance. It contained images and recordings directly connected not only to the key scenes but also to other key moments in the play, and commenting on these enabled pupils to display their understanding of the play as a whole. They enjoyed putting the original Shakespeare quotation in the speech bubbles and then their 'real' thoughts into thought bubbles in contemporary language, and this led to a great deal of heated debate. Pupils can record their own audio script to accompnay images and i found that less confident pupils , who would baulk at the idea of a drama practical, were comfortable putting their own voice-overs onto the material and interpreting lines as they thought the characters might say them. This enabled them toappreciate Shakespeare's choice of langauge and reinfroced the idea that words, phrases and rhythms are carefully selected to produce a particular effect.

The pictures are of excellent quality and the juxtaposition of contrasting productions is exactly what we want.

I suggest that unless you are desperate to spend money before a deadline it would be worth waiting until you can evaluate these Cambridge CD-ROMs before making a purchase.
