Early Literacy with Dog and Cat

Dog and Cat Early Literacy addresses the Development Matters goals from Communication, Language and Literacy (Practice Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2008) and links to Letters and Sounds.

Dog and Cat Letters and Sounds Series
A whole new range of fun, stimulating and engaging activities. The series links to Letters and Sounds (Principles and Practice of High Quality Phonics) and also provides further activities for blending and segmenting letters.

The Phase One CD-ROM is predominantly for Nursery and focuses on activities to develop listening skills and encourage the children to distinguish between different sounds. The Phase Two CD-ROM covers the first twenty letters and a number of other sounds such as ck, ss, ff, and ll. Phase Three completes the alphabet and starts on other sounds such as sh, ch, th, ai, and ee. Phase Three is aimed at Reception but can continue into both Years 1 and 2.
